Deadly Chemicals in Your Nail Polish

Yea I'm serious about me. If you can't tell you're about to find out LOL! The shit you stumble across when you get to doing YOUR OWN research will have your jaw constantly dropping. As I always say, those in the know will continue to benefit from our ignorance if we fail to educate ourselves. Are we really benefiting from getting our nails done or harming ourselves slowly. I read in an article that the cuticle which surrounds the nails is much needed, yet we let the nails tech's cut it off. How much do they know? Don't be so trusting of a title or trusting of how long someone went to school. Why do you say that Shannaire, it's just nails! Naaah, let's have a lil nail anatomy shall we?!

The Cuticle as you see in the above picture is very important. It's still apart of your skin and acts as a seal of protection to protect bacteria from getting in. The role the cuticle plays is protection. Yet, we cluelessly march our asses in there, unaware of a very vital piece of skin that we need, and let them cut it off. Don't let the nail techs' tell you it's dead skin, because it isn't. Now, you can push the cuticle back just avoid cutting them. Push the cuticle back with a orange wooden stick. Ask next time you visit. Close mouth's don't get fed.

Orange Wooden Stick

I would highly recommend doing a lil research of your own. Don't take my word. Go with what you know! Now the nail polish is another story lol anytime you walk into a nail salon, and the techs' have on a mask, that's a red flag. They not trying to smell that shit. I've switched to Vegan nail polish. Vegan Nail polish! I'm not playing no games. Majority of nail polishes contain HARMFUL chemical-based ingredients that have serious affects on our health. Nail polish contains Formaldehyde, Toulene, Dibutyl Phthalate(DBP)and etc. DBP has been known to be a hormone disruptor. Half of these chemical based ingredients I can hardly pronounce, and this same shit is in our food! At first when I start researching I only found 3 chemicals known to be in Nail polish, then 5, and now 7. What are the 7? All these questions I love it! Do some research, and you tell me. Besides I already gave you three. Come on y'all get involved!

What nail polish do I wear? I wear a brand called Pacifica, 100% Vegan, and cruelty-free. I take it with me when I head to the nail shop. I purchased from Ulta for about $9. Ouch! yea I know. Remember your always going to be taxed for the good stuff in most cases. Besides, your health is worth it. Value yourself, don't be cheap with your health. I'm down for bargaining though, and would have loved to get it on sale! They have amazing colors! I'm actually wearing this exact one on my toes and fingers! It doesn't chip, and two coats was all it took. Now, if only I can find a natural polish remover. Any suggestions? I'm still shocked they have Vegan nail polish. How serious is it for them to create nail polish without chemical's? Do they know something that we don't know? Like I've said before if we don't read or educate ourselves, the ones who KNOW will continue to benefit off our ignorance!
