PSYCHIC OR LIAR?

I'll let y'all be the judge of that. I had the opportunity to interview a psychic, who goes by the name of Val Rich and get the 411 for anyone who wants to know the scoop. I mean is she another Ms. Cleo? Even though her name always in some shit. Which in my opinion, doesn't take away the fact that she is gifted. That's like saying Michael Jackson is white, because of a "skin" disorder, and now the brother can't dance. Nah, he still black and he can dance like no other! l Hopefully, you see the point I'm making.

I've had a free mini reading done by her, and have faith in her ability. My grandma's use to say don't let just anyone pray and lay hands on you. She was SUPER religious, lol, but she was right though. Before I even hopped on her Facebook post, I lurked my ass off, reading post where people were asking questions, and she was telling them what the ancestors said. I was impressed! I have ALWAYS been curious about psychics, astrology, magic etc. Basically everything that I was told was devil worship, I was secretly into. And I'm so honored to be able to ask Val about her gift. I know we have some skeptics out there, so I know this will help you. Oh and before I forget, whenver you do get a reading, ask for the name of the cards pulled. Study the cards to get a very clear understanding of what was said to you and why. Thank me later Loves! xoxoxox!

Shannaire: So, I read that you have had the gift of vision since the age of, 3 was it scary for you at that age?

Val Rich: Absolutely, I was so young, I didn't really know what was going on and there was not even any one around me, to explain it to me. My first dream that turned out to be a premonition happened with my grandfather's death in 1984. I dreamed he passed away, when I awoke and ran downstairs to tell my mother about the dream, the EMTs and police were there wheeling his lifeless body out of the house on a stretcher. It was surreal.

Shannaire: Holy shit! Did you tell your mother about your dream?

Val Rich: When I got downstairs she was running around talking to people trying to process information herself. When I told her what I dreamed about, she just stared at me I asked her if granddaddy was really gone? She told me he was. From that point, I distinctly remember my mother telling me to tell her every single time I had a dream about someone's death or harm.

Shannaire: Did you keep your mother informed?

Val: I did. My mother was the only one out of all my family members who knew I had been having these types of Dreams since I was small. I never told my dad, my sisters or anyone else. I knew they wouldn't understand. One of the main reasons I knew my mother would understand was because she had the same exact gift of premonition that my grandmother got a chance to experience firsthand. So, from my understanding this runs in my family on my mother's side of worn ancestors.

Shannaire: So isn't this considered witchcraft or work of the devil?

Val Rich:(laughing uncontrollably) I would offer a flat-out "No" At three years old, I didn't know what or whom the "Devil" was. Along that same vein, I didn't know anything about witchcraft or any kind of work such as that as a young child. My mother identified as a African Methodist Episcopal Zionist. My grandmother was a Methodist, as was my great-grandmother. I was one of these weird kids who loved to go to church and would cry if my mom couldn't take us.So, basically what I am saying is that these supernatural occurences continued to happen to me even though I identified AS and went TO a Christian (Methodist) church every Sunday. From childhood all the way up until my 13th birthday when I experienced another supernatural occurence which caused me to leave the doctrine of Christianity behind. Even after leaving behind the doctrine of the Christian church, I continued to experience various supernatural occurences. Honestly, if all of that is the work of the "Devil", he wants me REALLLLLLLY badly!

Shannaire: Lol, first off you're answering all my questions before I can ask them, so can you chill, THAT'S SO RAVEN...dang Or did you already SEE this interview happening geeeesh, lol ?

Val Rich: My clients in readings tell me I do that EXACT same thing! My bad!

Shannaire: Girl, it's all good. So are you still religious?

Val Rich: I am extremely spiritual. And as WEIRD as it is, I still LOVE to go to church. I love to go to AME Zion services. I love the feeling of congregating for a common purpose. I love getting dressed up to go. I love to read and analyze the scriptures they talk about in the sermons. I take my iPad with me and cross reference the Bible verses they give with the Qur'an. I do all of that to get a more fundamental understanding of things and how they are relating to my life now. But OVERALL, I am not down with the messages that the Christian church teaches. However, I love to go to services, I love the music, I love to congregate and read the Bible, cross-reference the verses with the Qur'an and THINK critically about how I can apply any of the things THAT WORK into my life. I am a firm believer that if it doesn't work for me as a doctrine or way of life, it's going right in the trash. I don't do anything that doesn't work for me anymore. No matter how old a tradition.

Shannaire: Does the church you attend know of your gift?

Val Rich: I am in the process of moving states, I haven't been to church in a minute. However, it's not something I would advise the members of the church I chose to attend of. Why? Because my faith in God is mine. It's a highly personal relationship that I have with God. I don't REQUIRE anyone outside of myself to define or substantiate that for me. Put simply: it's NOT their business! LOLI do exactly what I want to do. If I want to go to church every Sunday, that's exactly what I am going to do. Because I am a psychic, a pastor has no right to tell me I am not welcome there. The day that happens, I promise you, will be my last day in attendance.

Shannaire: So, I see that you refer to yourself as a psychic. I saw someone ask a question on Facebook. So I'm going to ask you, that same question. Is there a difference between a psychic and a prophet?

Val Rich: Without using Google and being super-specific, I would say no.I honestly think the only difference is that my gift is not being used for the benefit of the Christian church. It's being used for the benefit of myself and my clients as a whole, so there's a stigma attached to what I do.There are absolutely people in the Christian church that have the exact same gift I do. But, because I use my gift outside of the church, I'm TOLD that it's "devilish" or whatever. But no one can seem to explain to me exactly what that means, lol.

Shannaire: When did you decide you would use your gift to help people?

Val: I decided to begin to use my gift to help people in mid-March of this year.

Shannaire: How has it been and is it energy draining?

Val Rich: It's been a journey unlike any other I have been on. I planned, originally, to NEVER allow anyone to know anything about my gift. I planned to take it to the grave with me. But I feel I am adjusting as well as possible. My gift is and can be energy draining. But, I am getting better at balancing. I am glad you asked this question, because people have a lot of misconceptions about how my gift works and they then project their ignorance onto it. With my particular gift, information only comes through when I am CONCENTRATING on the person and their situation. If I am not concentrating on you, nothing comes through. So in that way, I can absolutely control it and keep it from draining me. I am not like Theresa Caputo (The Long Island Medium) where she walks up to people and starts talking to them about their deceased family members.Thank GOODNESS my gift doesn't work like that. If it did, I would literally never leave the house. So with that being said, I can watch tv, I can rest, I can do everything a regular person does without information coming through. Every once in a while, I will get visions or feelings about various children in my family, but just random people? No. Absolutely not. Doing general readings all day, however, is draining. It takes a lot of mental energy (concentration) to do readings all day. Needless to say, I sleep A LOT!

Shannaire: I've seen her work! Seems like she does it so effortlessly ,but then again it's T.V.

Val Rich: Absolutely. I promise if my gift ever graduates to that, I would never interact with people. I can only imagine that it's EXHAUSTING.

Shannaire: What would you say to someone who wants a reading, but is nervous or thinks it's a sin?

Val Rich: I deal with potential clients who are nervous, completely different from people who think what I do has some element of sin in it. With potential clients who are nervous, I get to the root of why they are nervous and address that specifically. Some people are simply not familiar with what a reading with me entails. I then take the time to explain the entire process. For those potential clients who think it's a sin, I deal with it completely different. Simply because as a former Christian and one was was deeply into the Bible, I can use examples such as the prophet versus psychic example to show them that what I do is no different from what they do. The only difference is that the Christian church cannot benefit from my gift. Where they do benefit from prophets or prophetessess. Also, I am extremely accurate. I have over sixty testimonials to that end.I also throw in there that I have had this gift since the age of 3. I then ask them point does a three year old know how to sin?

Shannaire: Does this gift make it hard for you to trust men?

Val Rich: Actually, no. I trust men much more now that my gift has come all the way in. Why? Because my ancestors are snitches and I love it. I'm not trying to be cocky, but no one can get anything past me. It's just not happening. Ancestors will either tell me straight up, or when I do a personal reading on someone I am interested in (as I can read myself)--that information will come flying right out.So, I don't have issues anymore about being lied to by men. It's just not something that will be happening. And I can see every aspect of what is going on with them. I have done readings for women who I have had to tell them that their boyfriends were romantically attracted to other men. I have had at least two other women clients who I told that their boyfriends had secret kids.

Shannaire: So you have no problem revealing it, even when it's done hard truth to swallow for the client?

Val Rich: Conceived during their relationships. Yeah. It's real. If someone has cheated in the past, I can see that. If someone is cheating, I can certainly see that now. No, I have no issue revealing the truth to my clients. Why? Because I advised my clients before I begin to read them that they may hear some things that will not make them happy-but they will be 10,000% true. So they KNOW this what they signed up for.I have had a client where I could see that their baby daddy was about to lose his job. When it happened, she immediately contacted me and was laughing so hard, she was in tears. So, I can absolutely see if a man is cheap, has secret children, is a cheater, gay, bi-sexual, about to lose his job...or any manner of other things that these men try to hide.

Shannaire: Do you have men clientele?

Val Rich: I do have about three or four male clientele. The overwhelming majority of my clientele are women, though.

Shannaire: Men seem more skeptical to me. Why is that? Fear that you may see through them is one, but hey that's just my opinion.

Val Rich: Because, they are socialized to not tap into their intuition NOR trust it or anyone elses. Fear that they will be seen through is also another reason why I do not have that many male clients, yes. I did read a man yesterday who had never had a reading before. He was absolutely blown away.

Shannaire: Can you communicate with people who have passed?

Val Rich: Yes, I can. I would like to note, that deceased ancestors sometimes will refuse to come through. As an example, if I am asking a question they do not like, they "close the screen door" on me. Have you ever stood in a screen door and had your grandmother or mother close it in your face? That is what I see in my mind's eye. When I see that, I know either: 1. They don't want to come through or 2. They refuse to answer the question I am asking. And they are perfectly within their right to do so. I simply move on.

Shannaire:Lmao! That's crazy and weird. Seems fun! What advice would you give to those who have the gift?

Val Rich: Meditate, take care of yourself, hone your craft. Monitor what you watch. Because I am an empath, and what I watch gets stuck in loops in my head, I cannot watch violence or deviant sexual acts. I also cannot watch a lot of blood, guts or fighting.

Shannaire: I agree with you on that. If I watch something scary late at night, I know for sure I'm going to have a scary dream. So I have to watch a cartoon or something, lol Is Being intuitive and a psychic the same thing?

Val Rich: Being intuitive and psychic is basically the same thing. People use different terms. But I am clairaudient, clairsentient, and clairvoyant.

Shannaire: That's what I thought. It was such an pleasure to talk to you! How can people reach out to you?
